Handwritten in blue pencil on the back of the photo, "Wed morn., Wednesday morning crowd at Hastings as rioting broke out. Dec. 7, 1946." Photo shows a crowd of men and women in front of Hastings. Most of the crowd is turned toward the photographer and many in the crowd are smiling for the picture. A hat store and Hudson Jewlers is next door to Hastings.
