Clipping on the back, "Sep. 26, 1944--This photo shows part of powder room set aside for women at the base. Oakland AWVS-sponsored Activities are exclusive at Camp Parks. Saturday night dances last until 11:30." Handwritten above this, "Henrietta "Tiny" Van Nieuwenhuysen, Mrs. John J. O'Connor, Mrs. Arnold Cassady." Photo shows six women in a bathroom. Three are sitting on stools in front of mirrors and the other three are leaning on the counter in front of the mirrors. Two are wearing the AWVS uniform and the others, dresses.
