Handwritten on the back, "Captive balloon advertising Capwell's Removal Sale, July, 1929. Picture of the top half of the Oakland City Hall. A balloon floats above the building and says, "H.C. Capwell Removal Sale" The buildings around the city hall are all dwarfed by the City Hall building. A billboard to the right of the City Hall advertises Old Gold ciggarettes. Other signs say Contra Costa Laundry, PG&E, and Taft and Pennoyer.
