Natural colored cloth bag with small shoulder strap made of red cotton cord, knotted at the shoulder; the bag is fastened across the front with three, small metallic silver colored bells. The bag is embroidered on the front with a pattern used on H96.50.2, and with a stylized floral pattern on the back as used on H96.50.1. Two large tassels of yard, one of red, yellow and orange color, the other of red, gold color, yellow, orange color and white decorate the sides of the bag. This cloth bag was embroidered and made by the donor, Meuy Yaan Saeteurn, while she lived in Laos, before 1985. She came to California from a Thailand Refugee Camp in 1985. She learned to embroider from her mother, from her grandmother and from friends.
