Photograph shows Joan Merriam's plane in flight with another plane flying beside her. Merriam's plane is covered with a variety of sponsors it also says "Around the World Solo Flight, 1937 Amelia Earhart Route- N3251P." On the back of the print is Russ Reed's stamp and them her handwrote "Plane flown by Warren Blogess Pacific States Aviation- Concord."
Merriam duplicated Amelia Earhart's flight around the world in 1964.
Original envelope says "Merriam, Joan A. Lady Flier; died 2-17-65."
