This four piece cream colored (white wool) suit and hat was worn by Miss Domoto's brother. A: Jacket, long sleeves, eagle and cross anchors embroidered on the proper left sleeve. "V" neck, double breasted (six mother of pearl buttons) with a white silk tie attached at the front. Two mother of pearl buttons on either sleeve. White silk lining, with black label at nape. Squared collar at the back with a white star embroidered in either corner. B: Yoke (or bib) fits into the neckline of the jacket. Band collar, buttons at the back with two mother of pearl buttons. Embroidered in the center front with a white eagle and crossed anchors. C: Matching short trousers fasten on either side with a single mother of pearl button. Right rear pocket. Elastic at the bottom of each trouser leg. D: Hat, traditional "sailor hat" with a narrow head band and a broad brim, all of the matching white (cream colored) wool. Silk grossgrain ribbon around headband. Diagonal stitched and welted cloth decoration across the top, with a white eagle embroidered, holding a red, white and blue shield. Inside is stiffened with cardboard. "C. J. Heeseman, 1107-1113 Washington St., Oakland, Cal." stamped in black on the side of the crown of the hat.
