Photo shows a parlor or sitting room of the Delger house. There is a round table in the middle of the room covered with a tablecloth. Hanging above the table is a gas chandelier. Several chairs, one of which is wicker, are spread around the room. On the left wall is a fireplace with nick- nacks on the mantle. There is a wide arched doorway connecting this room to the one next door. Elaborate drapes are hanging in this arch (to be closed to separate the two rooms). The room is in heavy shadows as there is only one window. (D. Curry, 8/12/99) Per Inez Brooks-Myers, the floor is covered in wall-to-wall carpeting. One of the chairs is a cained chair. There is also a portier in the room. At least two painted plates are decorating the mantel. Inez also believes that the chandlier is a gas & electric combination.
