Handwritten on the back, "Chas. Spec Roberts." Photo shows an African American man wearing an Oakland Larks baseball uniform. Photo shows him having just pitched the ball. He is standing on a playing field just behind a plate on the ground representing the pitcher's mound. Roberts was one of four pitchers who traveled with the Larks on their 1947 barnstorming tour.
