Athens Athletic Club

One dinner knife with a plated silver handle and a stainless steel blade ("INSCO stainless"). One side of the handle is monogrammed with an A, the other side is marked "Athens Athletic Club." The bottom of the handle is decorated with what might be an acanthus leaf. The Athens Athletic Club, located near City Hall in downtown Oakland was a prominent Oakland fixture. There are other artifacts in the museum's collections relating to the Athens Athletic Club including architectural pieces of sculpture pieces from the entrance area.
