Jade Pagoda

This collection of exceptional jade objects is the work of Chang Wen Ti (1886-1961), a successful Shanghai jade dealer who immigrated to Los Angeles in 1948. He designed the majestic Sacred Jade Pagoda and directed the decade-long work of carving the jadeite. The pagoda, along with Chang’s collection of rare historical jade, was exhibited at two World's Fairs to demonstrate the power and beauty of traditional art practices.
