The Tribune photo, dated May 15, 1938, has the following caption attached to the back: "Summer camping will be easy for the Piedmont Boy Scouts who encamped yesterday at the Piedmont High School athletic field, practicing all phases of camp life, including tent-pitching, lighting fires without matches, cooking, and were graded for their efficiency. They lined up and paraded yesterday afternoon." In the photo the boys are lined up in squads [?], with each squad carring a U.S. flag and Scout banner.
