The Tribune photo, dated June 14, 1942, attached to the back reads "A vacation in ther Santa Cruz Mountains would not be possible without the work of the Oakland Boys Camp Committee opened [grammar sic] yesterday at Loma Mar for the group of boys shown above. They will be quartered for the next week in the cabins of the Oakland YMCA camp at Loma Mar and have all the facilites at their disposal." In the photo a group of 30-40 boys and a sprinkling of adults is posed near a parked White [manufacturer] school bus, probably for transportation to camp.
