The Tribune photo, dated July 1, 1937, has the following caption on the back: "Members of the Senior Scout Air Squadron No. 2 demonstrate radio equipment and a borrowed Navy Hellcat at the Oakland Boy Scout camparee this weeknd at Eastshore Park. They are (left to right) Fred Blatt, Charles Norman, and Roger Ridings. The squadrom members receive pre-flight training. The Camporee will close today." The three named scouts are clustered around a table which has a piece of radio equipment on it. A short wooden tower is at the left edge of the photo, and the Navy propellor driven Hellcat fighter plane is at right center.
