According to the handwritten notation on the back ofthe photo, Julie Sandlin (l) and Maria Contos (r), Walnut Creek, are protesting the name of a street in Alamo [?], Gay Court. Sandlin is wearing a tee shirt that reads "Dyke" three times in an inverted triangle. Contos is holding a sign at waist height that reads " Don't Like Gay Ct. How 'Bout Lezzie Lane."
