The notation on the back of the photo reads "Emporium, Oakland Virginia Baber, Store Manager" Ms. Baber is midway between floors on an escalator inside the Emporium, located at 20th and Broadway before its final closing in the mid 1990's. She is attired in a dark business suit, with a crescent shaped piece of jewelry on her right lapel. Store wares are visible on the floor below.
