This apron appears never to have been worn. It would have been worn by a woman for work, probably at home. It is designed to be a full length apron, with a bib front, which would pin in the back, narrow ties around the waist and two curved patch pockets (one on either side) in the front. The bottom is trimmed with a flounce. The chambray is a blue/gray and the very fine white stripes are set together in groups of three.
