This quilt block was entered in the School Quilt Block Competition for students in grades K-12 in Alameda County; the deadline was March 17, 2000. This winning piece was exhibited in "Fabrications 2000" held in the Education Hall Galllery, April 8 - June 11, 2000. This block won the 2nd prize for students grades 9-12; it was done at Vineyard High School in Livermore under the direction of teacher Margaret Fazio. The students who pieced, appliqued and embroidered the piece are Jennifer Bennett and Jehon Savoy.
