Navy blue textured leather cover imprinted with metallic gold: "Federation Aeronautique Internationale, National Aeronautic Association of U.S.A., Inc., Aviator's Certificate." Inside heavy board stock of white, printed in black, holds image of Jack Irwin (John F. Irwin, signed J. Fulton Irwin) and acknowledges him as an "Aviator Pilot." Dated September 19, 1927 and signed by the Chairman of the National Aeronautic Association of U.S.A., Inc., Orville Wright. Small biographical note and another photograph of Jack Irwin tipped into the back...born Alameda, Calif., June 10, 1892...designed, built and flew gliding machines in 1907; designed, built and flew engined plane in 1908...presently Designer and Consulting Aeronautical Engineer...living in Sacramento, Calif.
