The Tribune photo, dated September 27, 1987, has the following caption on the back: "Garret Willat, 6, of Fremont waits for his Dad, Bret, who performed at the air show." A handwritten notation on the back adds to the caption: "Grounded...but only in body not in spirit. 6 year-old Garret Willat sits in his big 'Snarl Kitten,' a replica of the 'Snarl Cat' that is used to tow his dad's sailplane. His dad is Bret Willat of Fremont who performs in the airshow this weekend." In the foreground, Garret Willat is sitting in a toy 'biplane' on tricicyle wheels. Behinmd him is a biplane used to tow Bret's father, who pilots a sailplane, and behind the biplane is a large jumbo jet passenger plane.
