Magazine is white paper, printed in black, with a cover of yellow paper printed in black. The cover features a map of Monterey County, and shows several photographic views: Monterey Bay, a cattle herd, fields, and harvesting. Magazine was made by the Salinas Valley Rustler, a newspaper based in King City. According to the foreward, the aim of this magazine was to document the rural population of Monterey County, in order to promote Monterey Co. as an ideal place for agriculturalists to relocate to.
