Authentic Shirley Temple Toddler by Nanette (printed on label at center back neck)

Dress is made from pink cotton batiste, machine embroidered with a pattern of alternating vertical rows of flowers and dots. The dress has a sash attached at either side seam of unembroidered pink batiste, and short, slightly puffed sleeves. The dress is gathered into a short, horizontal yoke at the front and back. The dress has a simple curved fold-over collar made from white cotton batiste which has been decorated with appliqued rows of pink embroidered batiste and white cotton lace along the edge. The same lace has also been gathered into the button placket at center front. Four white mother of pearl shank buttons serve as a closure. The top-most button appears to be missing, since there are five button-loops on the proper left side of the center front placket. Dress was owned by the Bragstad family of Oakland.
