Sandals (a-left foot and b--right foot) used as part of a Vietnamese costume for the film "We Were Soldiers" which is about the Battle of the Ia Drang Valley which took place in November 1965. In Vietnam, people sometimes made sandals out of used tires, the company that made these props replicated that tradition using tires as well. A Certificate of Authenticity came with the costume certifing that it was used during the production of the film "We Were Soldiers." There is a white sticker on both sandles that had printing on them at one time but rubbed off when they were worn. The faint words "Made in Vietnam" can barely be seen on one of the stickers. A "26" is also stamped on each shoe.
