Sunbonnet of blue and white window pane patterned printed cotton. There is no drawstring or ties to controll the curtain (piece at the nape.) The brim is machine-stitched in pattern of three rows, blank, then three rows of stitching, etc. A ruffle, the same width as the curtain decorates the fron of the brim. The ties are stitched on either side, and are hemmed straight at the endsThis sunbonnet was worn by Icey May MacGregor who was born in Fulleton, Kentucky in 1888. She traveled to Arizona, later took a steamboat from San Diego to Washington and then back to California. When she was 35 years old she gave birth to Billie Juanita Tate (grandmother of the donor).
