A vegetable gourd, dried. In Vietnamese is called Trai Bau. It was grown by donor while he was in re-education camp in South Vietnam, in 1978. All prisoners, including officers, had to grow their own vegetables to survive. This gourd was larger that usual so he did not eat it. When he came to the United States he brought this with him.
