A Turn of Events; Gaza '84

A pair of handmade shoes by Gaza Bowen; closed toe, with a wrap arould ankle strap that ties. A: Right shoe, signed "Gaza '84" on the lining at the back. B: Left shoes, inscribed "A Turn of Events" at the back. Both shoes have toes of borwn/gray/taupe leather, closed toe; the vamp is decorated with an odd-shaped leather applique of snakskin and smooth leather in tones of rose, aqua and green. The green and aqua make stripes that run into each other. The appliques are "turned" so that on the right shoes there is a rose colored and gray circle at the toe with aqua stripes at the top. On the left shoe there are aqua stripes at the toe and a rose color and gray circle at the top. Bothe shoes tie with rose colored leather straps, that have been trimmed in the heel area with aqua colored piping. The heels are unusual zig-zag shaps, trimmed with a black circle and purple at the top and aqua (or teal) stripes with grayed plum.
