White paper map of Contra Costa and Alameda Counties set in a brown leatherette folder, with blue printing; Contra Costa County outlined and named printed in green; Alameda County outlined and name printed in orange color. This map is old enough to include many small locations (train stops/very small communities) that have since been forgotten: Contra Costa County - Stege and Stege Landing, Giant, Schmidt, Gateley, Dupont, Valona, Eckley, Fernandez, Muir, Vine, Hooper, Cornwall, etc.; Alameda County - Mowry Landing, Mowry Station, Halvern, Mt. Eden, Farwell, Neroly, etc. In addition, the Rancho names and borders are indicated in both counties." White & Pollard, Bank of Commerce Building, Oakland, California" is stamped on the front of the folder, and on the map. Paper tag pasted on the front indicates "For sale by A. C. McKenzie, 245 Montgomery St., Maps of All Kinds, S.F. Cal." And another sticker is marked "7." (At some point someone wrote in red pencil on the face of the map.
