Hamilton, chairman of the Board of Supervisors of Alameda County, shown as he peruses the pages of the Oakland Tribune Yearbook for 1935, just off the presses. Supervisor Hamilton commended the volume highly as "a splendid example of community advertising and publicity, and one which will greatly benefit all of Alameda County and its contiguous territory." Supervisor William J. Hamilton seated at a table and glancing up at the camera. He is reading from a large and thick magazine, the Oakland Tribune Yearbook, full of articles and pictures. Papers are scattered over the rest of the table.
