Glazed porcelain and wood sculpture consists of a white teacup and saucer in the center of a circular clay ground with small holes similar to the texture of coral. The teacup lies on its side and the saucer is partially embedded in the porcelain ground. Blue-green glaze rests in the reservoir of the teacup and drips down the side of the saucer onto the porcelain ground. Lumps of white clay form a ring around the exterior edge. The ceramic portion of the sculpture is set on a horizontal wooden frame constructed with dovetail joints. A wood frame vitrine with lap and dowel joints covers the sculpture and rests on the edge of the horizontal wood frame.
