This bowl is of willow and martynia (devil's claw) coiled on a three rod foundation. Of very fine, classic form. Used by the Chemehuevi tribe of the Southern California dessert. Specifically they lived along the Chemehuevi Valley along the Colorado drainage in southeastern California. They are generally classified with the Ute-Paiute as a Great Basin tribe. PCK
