1909 Alaska Yukon Pacific Exposition silver medal awarded to Oscar Maurer. Medal contains a large female figure on the front with a male figure at lower left paddling a canoe and two male figures standing at right holding a pick and an axe. A setting sun appears at center left over a body of water. Text around the central imagery reads, "ALASKA * YUKON * PACIFIC * EXPOSITION / 1909 * SEATTLE * 1909". On the opposite side, the text "SILVER MEDAL / OSCAR MAURER" appears at center surrounded by a floral border.
