This molded organge colored plastic hard hat (or helmet) was made by the Fibre-Metal company, "A North Safety Products Brand, 2000 Plainfield Pike, Cranston, RI." A white label inside the crown of the hard hat states: "Certified Model-Ansi Z89.1-2003 Type 1, Class E. Size range 6 3/4 - 8; 534506 Rev.A." Inside the hat is gray plastic oval, with a knob at the back; this sizes the helmet. Inside the crown is a webbing of darker gray "ribbon" to surve as a buffer from the top of the hard hat.

Cahill Construction is the Company that worked on the archiectural/structural construction work on the Oakland Museum of California from 2008 through the completion of the Natural Sciences project, c. 2011. During 2008, and the first few months of 2009, all History Department staff members who walked through the History Gallery, to go to storage, for example, were required to wear such a hard hat/helmet.
