This piece of cotton yardage is white cotton, printed in stripes featuring stars. The blue and red stripes (each at the selvege) have white stars. The white stripe in the center has blue stars (toward the blue stripe area) and red stars (toward the red stripe area. Some stars that fall on either the red/white border or the blue/white border are printed in the two colors.

This fabric was probably used by Laura Josephine Holmes Scheiber, in Sacramento, to decorate a booth or table when she sold Liberty Bonds in a drive during World War I.
