Poster has an image of Dick Cheney dressed like Dr. Evil from Austin Powers. He is mimicking the action Dr. Evil uses to say "one million dollars." The upper left has the logo for Halliburton with black and white stripes radiating outwards. The bottom edge has "Go fuck yourself!" printed in large black letters. This poster appropriates the common cultural reference of the character Doctor Evil from the satirical Austin Powers film series (1997-2002) and uses it to lampoon Dick Cheney's questionable role as both Halliburton CEO and Secretary of Defense under president George Bush. Posters such as this, simple one-color prints on thin paper, are almost invariably produced for the purpose of wheatpasting in public spaces. [LMC]
