Each plant, animal or insect is labeled with its common name and Latin name. In the center of the poster is "Jewels of the Prairie" inside a purple area in the shape of Iowa with two butterflies, beneath that is "Mesic Prairie." Along the bottom in black is "Printed by Iowa's Living Roadway Trust Fund...?2000 by Mark M?ller.The verso has images and text about the tallgrass prairie, mesic prairie, the poster, the illustrator and the Living Roadway Trust Fund. This poster is part of a series of six posters by illustrator Mark M?ller and Iowa's Living Roadway Trust Fund in 1999-2000.
