Poster has a yellow and orange background and an unprinted white border overall. Poster has a large stylized drawing: at bottom a portion of the earth can be seen with building s rising from the left and right sides of North America, at the center of North America is a circle of flames from which rises a large human hand. The palm of the hand is printed with a map of the area near the U.S., Mexico border. The hand appears to support a string of clouds on which stand various figures, each located over one of the fingers of the hand. Above the thumb are a young woman and a child, above the index finger a man in an apron, above the middle finger a woman in a red jacket, above the ring finger a man in a shirt and tie, and above the pinky a woman with a box of produce balanced on her head. The upper left corner has text in large stylized red letters: "La Mano" overlaid with a yellow rectangle with the text: "Mas Poderosa. The left edge has a white square with text in black: " 'Chicana Y / Chicano / Scholarship: / Un Compromiso / Con Nuestras / Comunidades'.".
