Poster has a black background with a turquoise outline of the United States in the center. Over the U.S. outline is a red mushroom cloud. On the right is a cartoon depiction of Lyndon B. Johnson riding on a donkey with "HHH" as a brand on the donkey. The bottom edge has "All the Way with LBJ" printed in red and white. The "LBJ" has been crossed out with a silver X and over it "HHH" printed in silver. Johnson's campaign slogan "All the way with LBJ" has been hijacked to critique him as a hawk going "all the way" to nuclear warfare, and encourages the viewer instead to vote for the more moderate Humphrey. This is an example of an independent, community-based and unauthorized campaign poster. [LMC]
