Dish for food, boat shape, small. "Northern Northwest Coast, possibly Tsimshian, Haida or Tlingit grease dish in shape of seal. Painted formline design barely visible through heavy patina. Human face in seal's tail. Brass tacks inlaid around rim and across seal head and human face - 19th century. Broken and repaired rim." (Robin Wright, 7/91)
