Bow, sinew back; quiver; 4 arrows. Bow with painted designs; fox skin quiver; arrows with wood points
"Bows and arrows collected from the Pomo are nearly non-existant in museum collections. This is probably the only set from Cache Creek, and one of only a half dozen or so sets from the Pomo extant. Apparently a Wintu (N. Wintun) bow, possibly re-painted by the Pomo. Made of yew limb, backed with deer sinew, grip of commercial leather recycled from boot or other object. Shape of bow cross section, detail of nock area covered with hide and (formerly) fur strip, etc., all conform to the few known documented Wintu bows. Must be a trade item. One nock end missing, damaged. From carving, it appears as though the bow may have been used in its damaged state. " (Craig Bates, 7/91)
