Crazy quilt, made of pure silk scraps of dress materials, completed with rayon edge. Work of 3 generations; Made by grandmother of donor, Hannah Mussey, of Unity, Maine, 1880-1890; some work done by her daughter, Viola Mussey (Gilman), Unity, Maine; completed & assembled by donor (daughter of Viola Gilman) of Oakland, Cal., 3-23-1949.
(Jessica Nemeth 3/96) Double sided crazy quilt. One side has two large black panels on either side of piecing; the other side has a black border. There are a couple of small fan pieces, lots of embroidery.
