Parasol, black satin, handle of two kinds. Owned by grandmother of donor, Lucy Manuel, of Oakland. Used before 1891 This is an umbrella, not a parasol. Excellent quality, lined with black silk? Nice varnished handle. (Joan Severa, 3/14/1994)
