1 pr. black kid slippers with jet beads These are shoes, not slippers. Black glazed kid, rounded toe with narrow point. 1 1/8" Louis heel with decorative stitching around heel, low vamp, soft triple black satin bow fastened at throat. Bow and toe trimmed with small black glass beads, not jet. Stamped on arch Kast's and stamped in silver on instep "Kast's" Oakland. Heel lined with tan kid, toes with white twill. 1885, not c.1900 as originally catalogued. (Joan Severa, 3/1/1994)
