Tea saucers. Description: children's, scalloped edges, pink, rose design, 19th cent. Haviland. & Co., Limoges, Fr., Late 19th C. History: This and a smaller set was owned by the S. L. Bliss family (family home at Lake Tahoe where two generations were in the lumber business) and the St. Sure family. The gift was made through the Jr. League Vic. Era Exhibit Committee. These sets are prob. Haviland. Note from E. S. Birr: Both tea sets belonged to Mattie K. Bliss and presumably were purchased about 1808 (perhaps a bit earlier). The father of the above was a sea captain going between New Bedford Mass. and Liverpool. He brought many items to his family from Europe. The family lived in Oakland and S.F. Dimensions: 4 1/2" x 4" (these are the largest pieces.)
