Cup and saucer, Chinese export ware. Pink floral design. 18th century. Handleless. History: 126-pc. collection of ceramics and glass: The ceramics of English, Oriental and Continental origin (18th and 19th centuries), and the glass primarily of American origin (19th century). Collection made by Mrs. Henry Nichols, beginning about 1930.
(Beverly Lane 1980) in oriental dress appear on in pink, blue and other colors. The edges of both are scalloped. "Scale border" in pink & red on inside rim of both pieces. vivid colors. Condition: excellent. References: These pieces are typical Spanish trade to Mexico City. Dimensions: Cup (a): 3" diam. 1-5/8" deep; saucer (b): 4-5/8" diam., 1" deep.
