Object: Wooden Storage Box. Made of strips of wood softened in water, and wrapped around a frame, with their ends nailed together.
History: This box was a multipurpose storage container. Boxes like this might be purchased full of herbs or cheese, and then reused to hold candy or pieces of soap or sewing supplies.
