Large assortment of business cards, greeting cards and postcards, relating to the oakland area. c. 1854-1915. History: See file, Mrs. Warren Hook for individual listing of cards. Advertising card of 2 children in foreground with a spool of thread watching 2 other children in a lake watching sailboats. Inez Brooks-Myers, May 11, 2009: All of the children are playing with model sailboats. The girl and boy on shore have a large spool of "J. P. Coats Best Cord" and are using it as the guide cord on the boat they are sailing in the lake.
