History: Photographs are official US Navy phots from the Graphic Arts Dept. of Oak Knoll Hospital in Oak. Scenes are all during the WWII period and were taken for a publication. The Oak Leaf.

(D. Curry, 12/4/98) Photo is a group portrait of entertainers probably at Oak Knoll Naval Hospital. One of the men in the group is a ventriloquist holding his dummy dressed in a sailors uniform, three of the men are wearing Mexican costumes with serapes draped over their left shoulders. Two of the three women are wearing form, floor-length gowns and the third is wearing a short dress, possibly a dance costume, with open-toed shoes.
