Painting. Description: Water color portrait of Don Cayetano Juarez, born at Monterey Presidio, Feburary 24, 1809. He was the second son of Juaquin and Josefa Pasquala Garduno Juarez. Educted by private tutors (who also taught General Vallejo) The portrait is framed in gilded wood frame with velvet (red) insert lining. Painted circa 1877 by "A.K. Kipps Art". 1809-1883. History: The donor is the great grandchild of Don Cayetano Juarez and Senora Maria Higuera Juarez. She had her sister both agreed to donate these materials to the Museum.
