A: #9 The Butcher, litho. of a butcher shop w/ block, bucket, meat on rack, etc. with slit in center to receive insertion of figure B (with instructions printed on back), stand up tabs on side; B: Litho of butcher boy w/ cleaver in hand, red jacket, blue cap. excellent condition. c. 1890. Inez Brooks-Myers, May 13, 2009: This advertising card for "Lion Coffee" is full color, printed on white stock, and is die-cut around a butcher's block with a leg (of lamb or pork) on it and a wooden tub next it. They stand in front of a rack on which are hung three large cuts of meat (perhaps a quarter of a beef, half a hog, and another leg). There are tabs on either side that fold back, so the butcher shop would stand, and a child could play with it; perhaps having item "B" in front of it.

Lion Coffee produced many die-cut stand up cards, lots of girls from a variety of nations.
