Hat. Description: Hat, small, black taffeta with black flat bow at back, edged with fringed black taffeta which has been stitched in fine box pleats. Condition excellent. 13 1/4" including bow x 6 3/4". History: Made by donor who was a professional milliner in Oakland for over 30 years, worked for Mae Niedt, Addy's and had her own shop. She went out of business in 1972. Shops were located on Grand Ave. between Broadway and Webster, donor's label was "Miss Helen." Stitched into ruching, precious, dressy. (Joan Severa, 3/8/1994)
