Stapler (desk). Description: Cast iron with nickle plating on top part. Ornate decorations and brand name and patent date in relief on base. Operated by spring and lever action much like present day staplers. "Acme Staple Co. LTD Pat. Dec. 31 95". Dimensions: 10" long. References/Remarks: This design of stapler did not come into common use until the 1910's and later.
